Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ageless Chinese medical system which observes the laws and patterns of nature and applies them to the human body. It is a complete system that has been practised for thousands of years in China and now throughout the world.
Acupuncture stimulates specific points on the body with very fine needles in strategic places on the specific channels. It helps tonify the internal organs, clear stagnant tensions and correct imbalances.
At the heart of Acupuncture’s philosophy lies the principle that it is the root cause of illness, not the symptoms, which must be treated. It applies a holistic approach as it views every aspect of the person - mind, body, spirit and emotions - as part of one complete circle.
Acupuncture is valuable for the healing of many conditions: physical, emotional and energetic. If you suffer from pain, digestive problems, skin conditions, cardiovascular immune disorders, stress, fatigue and anxiety, Acupuncture has been demonstrated to be beneficial.
Shiatsu is a Japanese form of remedial massage. As part of East Asian medicine, it is used to support health, wellbeing and restore harmony, by activating the circulation of Blood, Body fluids and Energy (Qi/Ki/Chi) throughout the body.
In clinical practice, Shiatsu recognises the whole person, all aspects of life, the body, lifestyle, mental, emotional and spiritual as co-ordinated and interconnected. Shiatsu assesses and diagnoses with aid of tongue, pulse, palpation of abdomen and acupuncture channels using the hands, elbows, knees, feet and thumbs instead of needles.
The aim is to identify the cause of imbalance, alleviate the presenting problem and prevent further decline through education.
Shiatsu affects the internal organs, muscles and joints with a profound effect on posture.
